Learning CSS, Cascading Style Sheets, is a must for web design. The down side (let’s say the challenging side for many) is it’s all code.
Sure, many applications like Adobe Fireworks, Adobe Dreamweaver and even Adobe Photoshop claim that their applications will write the code for you. Good luck with that.
Why is CSS so important? The easiest way to say it is, “Html (xhtml) is very limited in what it can do!”
Html is like notepad in Windows, or simple text on a Mac. Css is like Word or Adobe Indesign. Once you learn CSS you can really control what you want to happen on a web page.
CSS is Html on Steroids.
I have taught 1000’s of people that didn’t know anything, how to understand creating pages with CSS Code.
I have shared with my clients, how to understand the code, and how to reuse the code again and again so you don’t have to write it again and again.
If you know the right questions, you can teach yourself CSS just by doing Google searches. The thing is, you have to know what questions to ask. Usually, for my clients, after 2 to 4 hours of one on one sessions with me, they understand enough CSS to know what questions to ask when searching for CSS solutions.
Books are great, Videos are great, but no books or videos answer your questions directly, quickly and precisely. That’s my job.
