Making Tables in Adobe Dreamweaver CC
Making Tables in Adobe Dreamweaver CC? For years and years and years, decades, for a long, long time, like forever, all web pages were all tables. The New York Times, the Washington Post, ESPN, CNN and all the others where just Table Mania. Tables in Tables in Tables.
The fact of the matter is, there are a ton of sites out there that could just be tables. And, the fact of the matter is, if you know the properties of the table and table cells, then just like the New York Times and CNN, you can make a damn nice site just using tables .
You know what? If I weren’t a web designer, web tutor, web teaching kind of person, then I would just do all of my web stuff making tables. That’s right, I said it. You heard it right here. Hey, I’m just telling you what I think.
But, I’m not lazy and I love to learn, so learning and understanding CSS and Responsive Web Design really helps me out tons. But, again, if I were Joe Blow putting up a web site and I didn’t want to learn CSS, then I would be throwing up sites, making tables.
The thing is, making tables in Dreamweaver is just so damn easy to do. And you can have a lot of control (no, no where near the control you have with CSS), and with display:block; and display:none (oppps,,that’s CSS) you can even use percentage based tables and develop for phones.
Making tables in Adobe Dreamweaver CC with CSS still has it’s place. Especially for pages that look like Excel spread sheets. That’s what Tables should really be used for. But again, people are very creative, and you can be creative too just working with tables. They are pretty easy to use.
So, enjoy, “Making tables in Adobe Dreamweaver CC.”
