As an Author/Illustrator of children’s books, a web designer, a teacher of Flash animation/interactivity and web design teacher, I have used Adobe Photoshop for the last 20 years, just about every day.
I would be happy to teach you the essential in’s and outs of Adobe Photoshop CC. Adobe Photoshop CC is a strange animal, because when you launch the program, there are all kinds of panels, options and tools in your face that no experienced, graphic design professional uses on a daily basis.
For almost a decade, I taught senior designers from The Gap, Old Navy, Levi’s, The Federal Reserve, Citi Group and more how to use Adobe Photoshop. The challenge was that I would have 20 designers in a room with 20 computers and each person was at a different experience level. Even if all 20 people are rocket scientist, that many people slows down the progress of the group. You know how it is. If you want to go to the bath room while on a road trip, it only takes a couple of minutes, but put your mother-in law in the car, a couple of dogs and kids, and grandpa on his walker and that can take about 5 hours.
Oh, the book. I did this for my client Lisa Bond. If you click it, you can download the book for free on Amazon.
I would be happy to help you get up and running as your Adobe Photoshop CC Tutor. We can go step by step helping you get into control of the world’s, number one computer graphics tool.
On the Other Hand, I have created a video series that takes you through the 21 essential tools, panels and methods that professional Adobe Photoshop CC artist and business owners use on a daily basis.
This Adobe Photoshop CC Video Tutorial Series is bundled with 72 Adobe Dreamweaver, CSS, and Responsive Web Design Videos.
I think that if you subscribe to the series for one month for $13.00, then that gives you 30 days to go through the videos frequently and that might do the trick. On the other hand, I would be happy to be you Adobe Photoshop CC Tutor and charge you by the hour instead.

Photoshop Tutor Experience
A lot of my work these days comes from creating romance book covers for authors that write for Amazon.com. My job is to make covers look real. That means I have to follow all of the Amazon rules as far as width, height, dpi and RGB requirements. Along with the Amazon requirements, I need to make the covers look great for the author.
The author will tell me what they want. They will tell me they want a man and a woman standing in the dark looking like they are in love. I can do that. The thing is that the author does not have a photographer. What that really means is that I have to look for photos on the internet and then put the people from these photos in a place where the people have never been. Also, most of the time to make the people appear to be in love, I must find people that I can make appear to be looking at someone else with passion.
I buy a lot of images from a website called Dreamstime. They have many very good photos. When looking at photos that I can use, much of the time it comes down to how difficult will it be to pull that individual out of their real image and place them into a new place that is not real. A big factor, a really big factor is can I make the image look so real that people that are going to buy the book think that the people on the book covers are actually posing together with a photographer.
A big challenge is adjusting the lighting in each book cover. In one image I will have a person with bright skin color and in another image I will have a person with dark skin color. Photoshop has settings that help me bring the color of both people closer together so that the image looks real. Sometimes I will have three or more people that I need to put together, all from different images.
I have learned a lot from this process. I have created thousands of book covers and some of my book covers with the author’s help have showed up as number on, Amazon best sellers.
Most of my students for Photoshop want to learn how to merge images and place them into backgrounds. Most of my students for Photoshop have never used Photoshop before. I share with them all that I have learned about Photoshop over the past twenty five years of teaching and creating with the application.
